Help with Georeference Code Search

The georeference number is an abbreviated form of the legal description and is composed of either subdivision-block-lot (for platted properties), or abstract-tract (for un-platted land).  These items may be derived from our tax maps or from the legal description of the property.  Each subdivision and abstract has been assigned a unique code.  The georeference number for a platted property is the subdivision code (without any leading spaces) followed by a dash ("-"), then the block number, followed by a second dash, then the lot number.  If there is no lot number, use only the subdivision, dash, and block number; if there is no block number, you must include two dashes between the subdivision and lot numbers.

Examples: 
AUSTIN, RAY SUBDIVISION (code 1260) Block 2 Lot 14 would be entered as 1260-2-14
AUSTIN ROAD COMPANY SUB (1270) (no block) lot 1 would be entered as 1270--1
BONHAM, JAMES J SURVEY (A  99) tract 2A01 would be entered as A  99-2A01

Note: the spaces between the A and the 99 above are required because the abstract code actually contains embedded spaces in this specific example.  Abstract numbers are in the form of Axxxxy where xxxx is a numeric value and y is a letter suffix (if shown).  The numeric portion of the abstract number has leading spaces instead of leading zeros, Hence Abstract 10 would be entered as A  10 (two spaces after the A), Abstract 210 would be entered as A 210 (one space), and Abstract 1620 would be A1620 (no space).

If you are searching for a subdivision whose code is the first part of a larger number (subdivision 168 vs 16820), use a dash ("-") after the subdivision code to limit the search to the shorter number (search for 168-).
