Thank you for visiting the web site of the Tarrant Appraisal District. The primary goal of this site is to provide helpful information, in a convenient and efficient manner, to the taxpayers of Tarrant County, and anyone else that might benefit from its resources. I hope you locate the information or data you came looking for. If not, let us know and we will do what we can to make the site better.
On this site you will find a lot of useful information related to property taxation. We have tried to answer most of your property tax related questions. In addition, we have tried to provide access to most of the property tax exemption applications and I encourage you to apply for any tax exemption for which you qualify. Please understand that State lawmakers determine the qualification and eligibility requirements of all exemptions for a property or property owner.
We also have provided detailed information relating to protesting your properties value. Some examples include: how to file a protest, what to bring to a protest hearing and how to present data, information and evidence before the Appraisal Review Board.
In addition to providing information, we are trying to make our site more interactive. Through this site you can do several things online. If you own a business, you can file all the necessary business personal property rendition forms online to avoid paying un-necessary penalties.
Beginning this year, we are launching a new online protest and settlement feature called "eAccess". With this application, you can protest and possibly settle a property tax protest from the comfort of your home and not have to take the time away from work to appear before the Appraisal Review Board.
The district continues to seek new ways to assist and provide information to taxpayers through this site. We hope your visit here has been both productive and rewarding. If you have any question or suggestion to enhance this site, feel free to email our webmaster at webmaster@tad.org.
