Community Service |
|
| Tarrant
Appraisal District is not just an organization, it is a dedicated
group of people performing a service to their community. This community
service is not limited to their work for TAD, however, it manifests
itself in many ways including leadership in local churches, schools,
youth organizations, business organizations, and charities. This
page is dedicated to those employees, the work they do, and the
organizations they support. |

 |
United
Way
Tarrant Appraisal District has been recognized nationally
for its innovative and effective annual campaigns in support
of United Way. In 2007 the combination of special events,
one-time contributions, and payroll deductions resulted in
our 200 employees donating more than $28,534.44 for the community
served by United Way organizations. |

Habitat for Humanity
Fort Worth Area Habitat for Humanity is a 501 (c)
(3) non-profit organization that builds decent, affordable
homes and rebuilds distressed neighborhoods in partnership
with God's people in need. Most of Habitat's work is concentrated
in the Near Southeast, or Short Southside, of Fort Worth.
This area is bounded on the west by I-35W, on the east by
Riverside, on the north by Vickery, and on the south by Terrell. |
|
Vital Link
Each year, TAD participates in this nationally-recognized
program developed by the Fort Worth ISD and the Fort Worth
Chamber of Commerce which places students from local elementary
schools into the workplace to experience for themselves the
relationship between learning and earning.
