Please note: 

If you have purchased your home recently, you do not need to request an exemption application. TAD will mail an application to you in late December or early January provided:

	We have processed your deed
	You purchased the home and occupied it as your principle residence on or before January 1 of the current tax year
	Your mailing address is the same as the property location address

If we have not processed your deed by January 1, we will mail you an application as soon as we have completed the deed entry. If you purchased your home after January 1, you will receive an application in the following December or January.

If you feel your home qualifies for a general residential homestead exemption, over 65 residential homestead exemption, disabled person residential homestead exemption, or over 55 surviving spouse residential homestead exemption, you may create and print an application on-line. To print the application, begin by calling up your account using our data search facility, then click on the "Homestead Exemption Application" link at the very top of the property data page.

Follow the steps to create and print the desired application. Before mailing the form to us, please be sure to sign and date the form and include any required documentation.
