2008 GIS Data Now Available: The new data is available for free download or for purchase on CDROM. New for 2008 is the availability of a file geodatabase with all the layers in the proprietary ESRI gdb format. Though large (372MB), it is an excellent choice for those with access to the ESRI ArcView product or any other product which recognizes the gdb format. The file geodatabase is included with the CDROM as well as being available on our Free Downloads page. (03/10/2008)
ARB Schedules On-line: Beginning in June, ARB schedules will be available on-line. The schedules will be published in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format and may be searched and printed using the functionality within Adobe Acrobat Reader. Further announcemnet will be made once the schedules are available. (08/31/2007)
The
Texas Property Tax Code requires property to be appraised
at 100% market value. In keeping with that requirement,
the capitalization rate that will be used to derive an estimate
of market value for exempt low and moderate-income housing
for tax year 2008 will be between 7.5% and 10%. (08/31/2007)
