Most 2019 Residential Value Notices will be delivered to homeowners or their representatives via the US Postal Service on or about Monday, April 1. This date also marks the year’s first availability to special TAD.org Online Account features – such as downloading TAD’s Residential appraisal documentation, interactively reviewing the current market value, and/or filing a protest with the Tarrant Appraisal Review Board (ARB). With an Online Account and a PIN (printed on the property’s value notice), all of this can be done from the convenience of your own computer, tablet, or smart phone – saving a trip to TAD’s offices during its busiest season.
According to Jeff Law, TAD’s Executive Director and Chief Appraiser, “We’re pleased to offer Tarrant property owners multiple avenues for obtaining their appraisal information – that way they can choose which way works best for them.” He added, “Whether it’s through TAD.org, a phone call to speak directly with one of our appraisers, or a visit in-person to our Customer Service Counter, we look forward to respectfully and effectively serving you.”
The Protest Deadline for Residential properties receiving an April 1 value notice (or not receiving a 2019 value notice at all) is Wednesday, May 15. For further information regarding the duties of the ARB, please visit this page.
